Easter at the Park

Good Friday & Easter Sunday
I am amped up, fueled up, and ready for what God has ahead of us!

I want to encourage you to stop and invite everyone you can to Easter at the Park. Go to: and click "share" and "invite". We have learned that 80% of all people will come to church with us if they are simply invited. I encourage you to be intentional and invite people to church on Easter Sunday through social media and every other way.

In 2015, we had over 500 people. In 2016, we had over 1000 people. 2017? It is in God's very capable hands, but we want to do everything we can do on our end to invite others. God will use our invitations to draw people to Easter at the Park.

On Good Friday, we will have a family service at Discovery Community Church at 6:30 PM.

On Easter Resurrection Sunday, Easter at the Park is at 9:00 AM. It includes free breakfast, carnival, inflatables, face painting, service (starts at 10:30) and egg hunt (after the service.) If you're a regular DCC attender, I encourage you to park at Costco and take the shuttle vans over to Discovery Park. They are running from 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM. The best part is the worship and teaching that occurs in the park. We do a large outreach for the community. Most important, is we proclaim the Good News of Jesus. It is all about Jesus! This year we have a theme called The Bridge that I absolutely love. The stories on each side of the bridge are eternity changing stories.

Here's a Scripture for you to focus on as we get ready for Easter Resurrection: Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, His disciples went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside. When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body. Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”
-Mark 16:2-7 (NLT)

I love you and it is a privilege to serve as your pastor!

Easter Shuttle

Important Easter Shuttle Info

For everyone who is part of the church, please plan to take the shuttle to the park. That way there will be parking available at the park for our guests, as we anticipate reaching capacity.

The shuttle vans will run to the park all morning starting at 7:30a from the middle of the Costco parking lot, as they are closed on Easter. (Costco is located just on the other side of the freeway from the park - map here) See you then!
